Banana Oat Breakfast Mash

A simple, soothing first breakfast. Oats provide beta-glucan fibre for gut health; banana adds natural sweetness and potassium.

Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp Rolled oats: Ground to fine powder

• ½ cup Water or formula

• ¼ Ripe banana: Mashed

Recipe:

1. Bring water or formula to a gentle simmer.

2. Whisk in ground oat powder and cook, stirring, for 3–4 minutes until smooth and thick.

3. Remove from heat, cool to room temperature.

4. Stir in mashed banana and serve.

💡 Tip: Grind oats in a dry blender before cooking so the texture is silky smooth for young babies. As your baby gets used to texture, you can use lightly ground oats instead.
