
• 3 tbsp Yellow moong dal: Washed well
• 1.5 cups Water
• Small pinch Turmeric
• ½ tsp Ghee: After 8 months only
1. Pressure cook washed moong dal with water and turmeric for 3–4 whistles, or simmer covered for 20 minutes until completely soft.
2. Cool and blend to a smooth consistency.
3. Add ghee if using. Thin with water or breast milk to desired consistency.
4. Serve warm.
💡 Tip: Dal water (the liquid from cooking) can be introduced even before the puree; it's gentle and nutritious. As your baby progresses, reduce blending time to introduce gentle texture.
