Whole Wheat Veggie Pinwheels

Spiral baked rolls of soft dough and colourful vegetables; an uncommon, eye-catching snack kids love.

Ingredients:

• 1.5 cups Whole wheat flour

• ½ cup Mixed vegetables: Grated and sautéed

• ¼ cup Grated cheese

• 2 tbsp Oil

• Pinch Salt and herbs

• Warm water: To knead

Recipe:

1. Knead a soft dough with flour, oil, salt and water; rest 15 minutes.

2. Roll into a large rectangle.

3. Spread the sautéed vegetables and cheese evenly.

4. Roll tightly into a log and slice into spirals.

5. Place cut-side up on a lined tray and bake at 190°C for 20 minutes.

6. Cool slightly and serve.

💡 Tip: Chill the rolled log for 10 minutes before slicing so each pinwheel keeps its neat spiral shape.
